How to Get Started with PROF
Ready to compete on the international stage without leaving your gym? Here's everything you need to know to join PROF and start your online powerlifting journey.
Step 1: Create Your Athlete Profile
Setting up your account takes less than 5 minutes:
- Register with your email or social account
- Complete your profile — name, country, date of birth
- Choose your weight class
Once verified, you'll have access to the competition calendar and your personal dashboard.
Step 2: Pick Your Competition
Browse our calendar and find the event that fits your goals:
- Full Power — classic squat, bench, deadlift
- Push-Pull — bench and deadlift only
- Single Lift — specialize in one discipline
- Special Formats — One Shot Deadlift, Max Reps, and more
Pay the entry fee online and you're registered. It's that simple.
Step 3: Film Your Lifts
This is where the magic happens. You have a submission window (typically 7–14 days) to record your attempts:
- Set up your camera at a 45-degree angle — we need to see the bar, your body, and depth clearly
- Show your weigh-in on video within 24 hours of lifting
- Record each attempt with visible rack commands (if applicable)
- Upload via your dashboard — we accept MP4, MOV up to 500MB per file
Pro tip: Film a test video first and check that all judging angles are visible before your real attempts.
Step 4: Get Judged by Certified Referees
Every lift is reviewed by three certified PROF judges using the same standards applied at in-person meets. You'll receive:
- White or red lights for each attempt
- Written feedback on any failed lifts
- Official results within 48–72 hours of the competition close
Disagree with a call? Our appeals system ensures fair review by a separate judging panel.
Step 5: Claim Your Spot in the Rankings
Every approved lift counts toward your international PROF ranking. Track your progress, compare your total against athletes worldwide, and climb the leaderboard — all from your dashboard.
What You'll Need
- A gym with competition-spec or calibrated equipment
- A smartphone, GoPro, or camera capable of 720p video
- A digital scale for weigh-in verification
- Approved singlet and belt (see our equipment rules)
